One of my Dad's favorite phrases when I was a kid was "I ain't makin' no promises but" blah blah. In time I just learned to live with the genius of this non-commital gesture until he tried it on Autumn. To a child of 5 a promise is a promise no matter how you phrase it. When I saw her tears as a result of this, I immediately let him know. Funny how all that parental pride can go out the window when you show them how it affects their grand children.

Bravo! I love that song too. I also loved the line:

"Intrigue turned into routine, routine turned into thereyouhaveit".

Oh how you inspire!

I hear you on that. Still too vain to do anything with the hair though. I'm finding that working with these kids forces me to see those simple profound things all the time. But you are right. I don't always adhere to them.

I think that we should definitely support Obama's plan to make the information superhighway hit rural areas as well as some of the urban areas. I also believe in chain reactions. If you make certain things electronic, it will hit cause a reaction across the board. Universal healthcare is going to make some people become a bit more active on their own behalf like how they are in Canada. From what I understand, you own your health records in Canada, not the health care system.

I like this one Turk, but how do we make this information accessible to the folks who really need it. We know how hard it is for old habits to die. We are in the worst economic crisis of our time and the republicans are still on their high horses judging everyone accept the perpertrators(sp?) I have some ideas I want to share. Stay tuned.
